Force Minor evokes the minor mode at the same time as it refers to images, ideas and senses: sweet and savoury, light and shade, black and white etc. Patrick Bouffard takes part in many a musical adventure, yet the trio formula is the main thread of his musical career. Starting in 1992 with “Chez Jeunesse” and going on with “Revenant de Paris” and “Rabaterie”(Boucherie Prod), this ruthlessly efficient “mini commando” has been championing traditional music from Central France (Berry/Bourbonnais/Auvergne). Patrick Bouffard remains very attached to the sound of the mythical hurdy-gurdy/bagpipe pair, to which he has added a diatonic accordion.
