Anna Cinzia Villani is able to understand the human value of all those men and women who make a living working the land, honoring both the beauty and the spirit in every artistic gesture. The feeling of the ordinary women, who still live the quiet streets of Salento (in South Italy), is the leitmotif of Fimmana, mare e focu!: a small chest that contains little-known traditional songs and new compositions in constant balance between the natural expression of tradition and languages of the world jazz sound.
