LOU SERIOL were born in 1992, to rediscover and preserve Occitan music. During the first years of life, the band has a strictly acoustic line-up (barrel organ, galubet, voice) but plays traditional songs with a spirit of innovation. Repertoire is taken from Occitan heritage and is used in his purest formula: popular one. A year passes and the band starts to adopt not so traditional instruments (bass guitar and congas). Here starts a path of experiments that leads to the birth of Lou Seriol trademark sound that will consolidate more and more in the following years. In 1993, with this line of work, the first, rare, demo si recorded in legendary “Vivenza” studio.
