Navras have released both the CD and DVD of the same performance. One of the many noteworthy features of this recording is Vilayat Khan's choice of ragas. Here we have perhaps the grandest and noblest of them all (Darbari Kanada) followed by a favourite among favourites (Bhairavi). Western music lovers might ponder a juxtaposition of the best of Bach followed by the best of Mozart!
