ACB - Ass. Cult. Baraban
From 1983, the first public appearance, BARABAN have been carrying on a strong artistic activity full of deep human experiences. This album, the fourth by the band, is a testimony of thier live work and a sort of anthology including also some previously unrecorded tracks.
The sixteen tunes edited in Live were recorded in concerts performed from 1989 to 1993 in Italy, Canada, Great Britain, Russia, Belgium and Austria. Through them you can perceive the musical development accomplished by BARABAN, the main features of their style, research, the difficult experimentation of new languages and the stubborn vindication of the value of this "other" music as a part of a cultural system which has not to be lost.
As they say : " This is not a commemorative record, it's nothing but a statement of what we were and still are, of our artistic and human story and of what we gave as a gift to those who listened to us."
In the domestic squares in Northern Italian towns, in Montreal theatres, in Alpine cloisters, at Barbican Centre in London, at the merry making happening in the Hallein Folkfestival in Austria, at the Hall Colums in Moscow, the former "sacred area" of the Soviet leaders, BARABAN show surely their artistic qualities and their talent to make the public excited.
They confirm themselves as one of the best bands in Italian revival.
