Mazel Tov! includes a compendium of songs inspired by the Ashkenazi musical tradition, but allows evasion in other territories, always respecting philologically the assumption of wandering music. Precious interventions of singing voices and narrative.

LES NUAGES ENSEMBLE was born in Turin in 2007 by four musicians from different paths career. After obtaining a diploma in Conservatory, they lived musical experiences in the landscape of Irish folk, Scottish and Swedish, in ethno-world music as well as classical and orchestral ensembles.

Fundamental, for LES NUAGES ENSEMBLE, were the studies at the Conservatoire Charles Munch in Paris, where they took part in a klezmer music specialization course, after which they matured the decision to create a group of women only in order to increase the presence of women in a musical field still frequented almost exclusively by men.

Passionate in captivating, engaging and characteristics of klezmer music melodies, LES NUAGES ENSEMBLE wish to contribute to enhancing the dissemination of this kind, relatively little known in Italy.

The goal was to unite the musical skills arising from a classical education to the practice of a kind based on a tradition mainly popular, with the intention to deepen the study of the history, the spirit and the Jewish culture.

During their journey they played in very different contexts of particular prestige (billboards of world music, classical music, jazz, theater festivals in Italy and abroad, contexts promoted by Jewish Communities). Also significant collaborations in reading and theater performances.
In 2011 they released their first CD Appartenenze followed now by Mazel Tov! for the label Felmay.
